The bomber jacket is my go to item when I want to look casual but cool and I have a few of them in my collection. Today I’m showing one of my favorite bombers at the moment.
By now you should know that bomber jackets are a must have in my wardrobe. In previous posts, I already showed you some of my jackets like my pink one, burgundy one, and black one. This bomber jacket* I’m wearing is very different to the ones I own. It’s a handmade design by Stev_Jnr the designer of Meldimm Couture. He promotes African fabrics in his designs and creates wonderful pieces, which have a modern look. The bomber jacket is part of his recent Spring 2017 collection. It’s available in three colors – simple black, blueprinted and the burgundy printed one I’m wearing. The jackets are available in the sizes S to XL. I choose a size M as I love my jackets to have a looser/oversized fit. The quality of the jacket is amazing. Nothing came lose, all zips were working properly and it didn’t shrink in the wash.
As mentioned earlier the designer uses African fabrics to create modern pieces. I really love when designers incorporate African textures to clothing as it gives it a unique look. African prints and fabrics are part of my heritage, therefore I’m naturally drawn to them. I think especially in spring and summer African prints are really nice as they give your outfit a pop of color. In this post, I showed how I styled my African print two piece set for summer.
I wanted the bomber jacket to be the main focal point in my outfit, therefore, the rest of the look is pretty simple and neutral. The faux leather joggers I’m wearing is an old pair from H&M. Leather pants are everywhere this spring season. Hence why I wanted to include them in my look. Together with my fishnet tights, they create an edgier an interesting look. To pull everything together I just wore my simple white t-shirt (always works with busy looks) and wore my comfy Adidas. I wore this outfit on a full sightseeing day in Amsterdam and felt not only super stylish but also very comfortable.
*This jacket was kindly gifted to me. Everything is still my honest opinion.
